AKRON, Ohio (AP) - Akron police are investigating reports of dozens of teens mobbing a gas station during a late-night theft and vandalism spree.

Akron Police Lt. Rick Edwards said officers responding to several 911 calls have photos of some teens at a Circle K gas station and convenience store and are trying to match them with store surveillance video.

Edwards said the teens were apparently at a nearby party and ended up at the gas station afterward Friday night.

Edwards said the teens vandalized the store and stole a variety of items before fleeing. There were no reports of injuries or weapons during the incident.

The Akron Beacon Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1D5ckG1 ) a woman who called 911 reported 50 to 70 teenagers grabbing things and running around the parking lot “like wild children.”
