BAR NUNN, Wyo. (AP) - A grass fire in a community west of Casper forced several people to evacuate their homes.

But firefighters got the wildfire in the Bar Nunn area under control Monday afternoon. Some fences were damaged, but no homes, and nobody was hurt.

Natrona County Emergency Management coordinator Stewart Anderson says lightning caused it. He tells the Casper Star-Tribune (https://bit.ly/1VLz4AN ) that several hundred acres burned.

Elsewhere in Wyoming, a wildfire has burned about 4 square miles of a remote area 20 miles south of Rock Springs. The U.S. Bureau of Land management says the fire is about 15 percent contained.

Forecasters expect higher fire danger in Wyoming with the arrival of dry, windy weather.
