July 28—A drive-by shooting was reported early Monday in South Laredo.

LPD reports state police recovered 22 .22-caliber spent casings from the scene in the 2700 block of South Louisiana Avenue.

Police said shots fired were reported at 5:17 a.m.

A female complainant said she awoke to the gunshots, said Investigator Joe E. Baeza, LPD spokesman.

She claimed she saw through her window the suspect vehicle, a Ford, in the 2700 block of Tinaja Street.

She stated she saw a man shooting toward her home, Baeza said.

The shots fire damaged a white Chevy Silverado.

Two bullets struck the front bumper, two hit the front windshield, one hit the driver’s door and the back glass was also damaged, reports state.

Police said the complainant told them she heard about 18 shots.

An investigation is underway.
