July 28—YAKIMA, Wash. — A Yakima woman was hurt this morning when she rolled an asphalt truck after veering twice across all eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 at Cle Elum, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Claire L. Piper, 39, was taken to KVH Hospital in Ellensburg.

Troopers said Piper was eastbound about 5:20 a.m. when the Peterbilt truck left the road to the left. She overcorrected twice, sending the truck across all lanes and back again. The vehicle then rolled and landed on its wheels in the median, according to a patrol news release.

She was expected to receive a ticket for driving off the road and not wearing a seat belt. Intoxicants did not contribute to the crash, the news release said.
