July 28—It was slow-going for commuters heading to Downtown Boise Tuesday morning. Bridge work near Chinden had traffic on the Connector down to one lane.

Between 7:30 a.m. and 8 a.m., traffic was backed up to past Cole Road.

There was some sort of problem with the bridge work overnight, and that’s why the traffic was still down to one lane this morning, an Idaho State Police dispatcher said.

The Idaho Transportation Department is doing bridge maintenance work, including patching concrete and waterproofing. It’s one of 10 local bridges they’ll be doing maintenance work on this summer.
