July 28—HIGH POINT — Police are investigating a wreck involving one of their officers.

The crash happened about 5:55 a.m. today at the intersection of North Main Street and English Road, said Capt. Mike Kirk with the High Point police.

The officer was responding to a wreck when she struck another vehicle, Kirk said. The officer had slowed down as she was going through the intersection, he said.

Neither the officer or the driver of the other vehicle sustained serious injuries, Kirk said.

Kirk did not want to comment on which vehicle had the right-of-way at the intersection until he had seen the completed police report. The name of the officer was also not immediately available.

Another police officer went to the initial wreck the female officer was responding to, Kirk said.
