July 28—Services have been scheduled for a Meridian woman who died in a weekend boating accident in Demopolis, Ala.

Virginia Wright Williamson, 36, of Meridian, died Saturday. According to Greene Country Coroner Ronald Smith, Williamson’s body was recovered from the Black Warrior River on Sunday about 1:37 p.m.

No additional information about the accident was available. Smith said the cause of death was drowning and no autopsy was performed.

Williamson is the daughter of Cathy and Lauderdale County Circuit Judge Lester F.Williamson Jr.

Services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church with Robert Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
