July 28—BEMIDJI — Salvation Army has brought the Pack For School program again to help low income families by providing backpacks and necessary supplies to 600 children who attend school in grades kindergarten through 12th grade, and who live in Beltrami County.


Donations of school supplies will be accepted from noon to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at Churches United, 414 Lincoln Ave. SE in Nymore. Items needed include wide ruled notebooks, markers, scissors, glue sticks, rulers, calculators, two-pocket folders, erasers, tape, colored pencils, backpacks, college ruled notebooks, highlighters, #2 pencils, crayons, school glue, wide ruled loose leaf paper, college ruled loose leaf paper, pens and red pens. Items are requested Aug. 7.

Families with children in grades kindergarten through 12th grade may fill out a form at Churches United and Bi-County CAP. Distribution dates are from noon to 3 p.m. Aug. 12, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 13 and from 9 a.m.to noon on Aug. 14 at the Armony, 1430 23rd St. NW.
