July 28—PennDOT announced single lane closures at several spots along Interstate 81 in Luzerne County, some of which will remain in effect through the end of the week.

Single lanes on the northbound and southbound sides of the interstate near the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton airport, exit 178A, will be closed until 6 a.m. today as crews place message boards and sign structures.

A single southbound lane is also closed near Dorrance, where crews are replacing concrete slabs along the interstate, according to a PennDOT news release. The lane closure will remain in effect until 3 p.m. Friday.

A single northbound lane will be closed between Exit 164, Nuangola, and Exit 168, Highland Park Boulevard/Wilkes-Barre, each night this week from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m.
