July 28—Akron police have arrested a suspect who is wanted for allegedly stabbing another man in the head Friday night.

Clifford Ray Wilson, 28, was arrested early Tuesday morning at a gas station on the city’s west side, according to a witness.

Acting on a tip, police arrested Wilson at the Circle K on South Maple Street at about 12:30 a.m. They waited until he was outside the car and pumping gas to surrounded and arrest him.

Wilson allegedly used a knife to stab the victim, who was visiting the home of his child’s mother around 6:15 p.m. Friday. Authorities said the stabbing took place in the 300 block of Hillwood Drive in Akron after the men got into an argument.

Wilson, who did not resist arrest, is currently in the Summit County Jail.
