July 28—SUFFOLK — The City Council will take comments from the public tonight and Thursday night on what qualities should be sought in a new city manager.

The forums also will take a look at priorities for the new manager, a city news release says. The feedback will be used to create a “position profile,” to recruit and evaluate candidates.

Both forums will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tonight’s will be held in the East Suffolk Recreation Center Gymnasium, 138 South 6th St. The forum on Thursday will be at the Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center (VMASC), 1030 University Blvd.

Residents also can comment at www.suffolkva.us/citymanagersurvey to Friday. Help with completing the survey is available at the city’s libraries.
