July 28—A Palatka teen has been charged with being one of three gunmen in the robbery of a Putnam County pizza delivery man Sunday.

The 16-year-old is charged with armed robbery and is in a juvenile detention center in Gainesville.

He is accused of being one of three people who robbed a Domino’s pizza delivery man at gunpoint about 11 p.m. on Magnolia Street north of Palatka. The victim was ordered out of his car at gunpoint and forced to walk away after the robbery, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies developed the teen, who the Times-Union is not identifying due to his age and no one being hurt, as a suspect and were told he intended to have a shootout with deputies. A Sheriff’s Office SWAT team was involved in the arrest, which was peaceful, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Two others remain at large.
