July 28—TRAVERSE CITY — United Way of Northwest Michigan is looking for representatives from local workplaces interested in running an employee giving campaign during the nonprofit’s 50th year.

Officials are hosting a campaign coordinator kick-off on Aug. 5 to provide fundraising tips and come up with creative fundraising campaigns around the 50th anniversary theme.

“It’s a kick-off to the event to get everyone charged up,” said Matt Zerilli, resource development manager. “There should be a good mix of some seasoned veteran employee campaign coordinators, and there will be some new folks there.”

The morning session begins at 7:30 a.m. and the afternoon session begins at 4 p.m. and will run about an hour. Zerilli expects about 40 businesses will be represented.
