July 28—Forecasters warn this afternoon and evening could bring thunderstorms.

But clouds should cap the heat, keeping high temperatures under 90. Forecasters predict temperatures will top out at 88.

The sun should return to full force on Wednesday, notching highs up to 90, complemented by a 5- to 9-mph breeze.

Expect a similar situation on Thursday, although forecasters peg the high that day at 92. They also think there’s a slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.

Temperatures should bottom out in the mid-70s through the week.
