MENIFEE, Calif. (AP) - A former city councilman has pleaded guilty in a Southern California conflict-of-interest case.

The Riverside Press-Enterprise (https://lat.ms/1D7zMCd ) says Tom Fuhrman entered pleas Monday to felony conflict-of-interest charge and three misdemeanors.

The 70-year-old must perform at least 100 hours of community service within a year to have the felony charge dropped.

The former Menifee councilman was arrested last fall.

Prosecutors charged him over votes he took from 2011 to 2013 that affected a ranch he owns.
