WHEELING, W.Va. (AP) - Former prisoner of war Jessica Lynch will highlight a holiday country music fundraiser in Wheeling.

WTOV-TV (https://bit.ly/1fBdMFb) reports Lynch will be the guest of honor at the Honky Tonk Sweethearts’ Dec. 5 benefit concert at the Capitol Theatre.

Proceeds from the show will benefit a nonprofit group dedicated to helping military veterans adjust after returning from overseas duty.

Tickets ranging from $10 to $20 and can be purchased online or at the box office. A guitar signed by Brad Paisley will be given away at the show.

Lynch was captured after her Army unit came under attack in Iraq in 2003. The Palestine native suffered two spinal fractures and several other injuries. She was rescued after nine days in captivity.
