July 28—HARTFORD — A 22-year-old is facing a number of charges after police say he was involved in a shootout on Nelson Street in September of 2014 where at least six shots were fired and two people were hit.

Guy Pacheco, 22, of Hartford, was charged Monday with conspiracy to commit first-degree assault, carrying a pistol without a permit, criminal possession of a firearm and criminal use of a firearm after police said video footage from the September 2014 incident shows Pacheco handing a gun to another suspect before a shootout take place.

The man Pacheco is seen on video handing the gun to, Yamil Rohena, 19, of Hartford, was charged in October of 2014 for the shooting, police said. Rohena, who is currently incarcerated at the Manson Youth Institution in Cheshire, was sentenced in May to 731 days in jail and two years of special parole for carrying a pistol without a permit.

Police said that on Sept. 3, 2014, at approximately 9:30 p.m. at least six shots were fired in a shootout in the area of 13 Nelson St. and that two people later arrived at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain for treatment of non-life threatening gunshot wounds they suffered as a result of the shootout. Police said they found six 9mm spent shell casings on the sidewalk after the shootout.

Pacheco, who police said has 16 previous Hartford arrests, is being held on a $1 million bond.
