July 28—Temperatures will be in the mid-90s in central Oklahoma Tuesday with a heat index over 100, the National Weather Service reports.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 96. Heat index values as high as 102. South wind 10 to 14 mph with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tuesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 76. South wind 6 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 95. Heat index values as high as 101. South, southwest wind around 7 mph becoming east in the afternoon.

Wednesday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 a.m. Partly cloudy with a low around 74. East wind 6 to 8 mph.

Thursday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny with a high near 93. East wind around 8 mph.

Thursday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 74.

Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 90.

Friday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 72.

Saturday: Mostly sunny with a high near 92.

Saturday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 72.

Sunday: Sunny with a high near 95.

Sunday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 72.

Monday: Mostly sunny with a high near 96.
