July 28—Walt Longmire rides again.

Netflix announced on Tuesday that Season 4 of the crime series “Longmire” will debut on Sept. 10.

Based on the novels by bestselling author Craig Johnson, the series stars Robert Taylor as the unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Despite a devoted following, “Longmire” was canceled after three seasons by A&E; last August. But producers shopped the show around and Netflix made a deal in November to revive it.

That means fans finally will be able to see how the tense Season 3 cliffhanger plays out. The saga picks up just moments after Walt found out who was behind the murder of his wife and took off in pursuit of the killer with murder on his mind. Meanwhile, Branch Connally (Bailey Chase), the deputy who Walt fired for erratic, violent behavior, believes he has already figured out who the real culprit is. But during his confrontation with this suspected killer, a gun went off.

The 10-episode fourth season stars Taylor, along with Katee Sackhoff, Lou Diamond Phillips, Bailey Chase, Cassidy Freeman and Adam Bartley. Also, Gerald McRaney and Ally Walker will guest star.

“Longmire” will be available in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

In other developments, Netflix announced that it has renewed the animated series “BoJack Horseman” for a third season and that “Master 0f None,” a new show starring Aziz Ansari will premiere Nov. 6.
