FLORENCE, Ariz. (AP) - A 38-year-old Pinal County man is accused of taking a rattlesnake into another man’s home and trying unsuccessfully to get the reptile to bite that man.

The Sheriff’s Office says Nathaniel Buck Harrison was arrested on suspicion of endangerment, aggravated assault and other crimes in the July 23 incident at a home in Oracle.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Harrison accused the victim of informing on a friend of Harrison and hit the victim over the head with a board before unsuccessfully trying to get the snake to bite the victim.

Harrison is jailed in lieu of $50,000 bond. Officials say there’s no indication he has obtained a lawyer who could comment on the accusations.

Deputies found the snake in the home and it was released into the wild.
