NEWPORT, R.I. (AP) - A famous Tudor-style estate overlooking Newport’s Cliff Walk has sold for $15 million.

The Newport Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/IX5CGL ) the Fairholme estate, which dates to 1875 has been sold by John Noffo Kahn, an heir to the Annenberg publishing forturne, to a buyer who has requested anonymity.

Milanie Delman, president of Lila Delman Real Estate International, says the home has not been used much since the 2010 death of Kahn’s father, Gilbert Kahn.

Once owned by socialite John R. Drexel III, the home has seen visitors including the Duke and Duchess of Windsor and President John F. Kennedy, whose family would often use the pool.

The estate includes the manor house, a carriage house, greenhouses, and a swimming pool complete with a cabana pavilion overlooking the Atlantic.
