July 28—The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 11 will be working on roads in Whitley and Laurel counties this week, causing some brief closures.

Those closures are as follows:

— A portion of KY-3422 at mile point 0.7 in Whitley County will be closed today, Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

— A portion of KY-1804 at mile point 2.6 in Whitley County will be closed Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

— A portion of KY-1064 at mile point 8.1 in Whitley County will be closed Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

— A portion of KY-233 in Laurel County at mile points 0.1 — 0.6 will be closed Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

These road closures are necessary to allow KYTC crews to perform cross drain repairs.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone, expected long delays and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
