PHOENIX (AP) - A Tempe man who pleaded guilty to computer tampering with sexual motivation has been sentenced to two years of supervised probation.

Maricopa County prosecutors say Arash Shabazian was sentenced Tuesday.

He was 18 when he was arrested in December 2013 for allegedly trying to extort a then high school classmate.

Authorities say Shabazian created a false online profile under a fake name and told the then 16-year-old girl that he was in possession of naked photographs of her.

He allegedly told the girl he would delete the photos if she would send him new nude pictures.

The girl agreed, but Shabazian told her she had to perform a sex act for him to delete the old photos.

The girl notified school officials and Shabazian was arrested at his parents’ home.
