A 4-hour Grand Forks Police standoff with a suicidal man ended with the man being brought to the hospital for evaluation and assistance on Monday.

EGF kidnapping suspect to appear in court

A man, whose identity has not been released, is being charged with kidnapping, second-degree assault, possession of stolen property and being a felon in possession of a handgun, following a Sunday incident in rural East Grand Forks.

EF-1 tornado trapped Tolna, N.D. grandma and child

The National Weather Service confirmed a tornado, with winds clocked at 110 mph, hit Tolna at 10:36 p.m. Thursday, buckling a portion of a communications tower, blowing a Quonset storage building off its foundation and knocking out power for about 3 hours.
