PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - A 27-year-old man who forced two California tourists to strip naked during a robbery on a Portland bridge has been sentenced to more than 19 years in prison.

Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge Gregory Silver told James Wooten on Wednesday that he could have “moved on” after robbing the tourists last October. Instead, authorities said, Wooten assaulted two men on the Burnside Bridge and took their clothes.

The Oregonian reports (https://is.gd/GR3gD4 ) that Wooten was convicted in June of robbery, coercion and assault.

An accomplice, Benjamin Moore, was sentenced last month to more than seven years for his role.

Portland police responded to a call on Oct. 3 and found two naked men, one bleeding. The men said two men armed with a box-cutter robbed them and demanded their property including their clothes. Officers learned two other passers-by had been attacked as well.
