ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say the U.S. Coast Guard rescued four people after a fire broke out onboard a pleasure craft in the San Francisco Bay Area estuary.

The fire was in the engine room onboard a 32-foot vessel near Alameda ferry terminal Tuesday afternoon.

There were no injuries or pollution to the water reported.

Fire crews quickly extinguished the engine room fire, and the vessel was towed back to Oakland, California. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. A damage report was not immediately available Wednesday.
