ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Family members who found the body of their 65-year-old relative on Pajarito Mesa said she had a gunshot wound to the head, but the results of an autopsy show no signs of trauma.

KOB-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1SMzv9K) Ignacia Saiz was looking for her son when she went missing Thursday. Her car was found vandalized Friday, two days before the family found Saiz’s body.

Investigators say decomposition of the body may have led family members to think she’d been shot and that an official cause of death could take weeks to determine.

Sgt. Aaron Williamson said the death is still being treated as suspicious.

Williamson said possible evidence in Saiz’s vehicle might help investigators determine who saw her last and what circumstances led to her death.
