WOODSTOCK, Ill. (AP) - Authorities say a suburban Chicago man is being held in lieu of $2.5 million bond in the drug-overdose death of a woman.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s office says Herman B. Trigg of Crystal Lake is charged with drug-induced homicide.

The Northwest Herald in Crystal Lake reports (https://bit.ly/1DNegO8 ) police responding to a call from a McHenry home on April 4 found a 29-year-old woman dead. Her identity hasn’t been revealed.

During a four-month investigation, police say determined the woman may have ingested heroin, allegedly provided by Trigg before she died. Trigg was arrested Friday.

Authorities say Trigg was previously arrested during an April 6 sting operation. He was charged then with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver charges.
