PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Hazy, hot and humid conditions are blanketing Philadelphia and its suburbs.

An excessive heat warning is in effect for the city and Delaware, eastern Chester, eastern Montgomery and lower Bucks counties between noon and 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Heat and humidity will combine to make it feel like it is 100 degrees.

Temperatures are only expected to drop into the upper 70s in urban areas during the evening.

The humidity is expected to be higher on Thursday.

Wednesday is a Code Orange air quality action day in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. Conditions will keep ozone unhealthy for sensitive groups.
