PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say a homeless man has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a Phoenix woman, stealing her laptop and then trying to sell it.

Juan Wilfredo Yepis was ordered held without bond at his initial court appearance Wednesday. He doesn’t have an attorney yet.

The 26-year-old Yepis was arrested Monday night on suspicion of sexual assault, armed robbery, kidnapping and trying to sell stolen property.

According to court documents, Yepis tried to sell a stolen laptop to an anonymous buyer days after it was stolen from the woman.

The buyer got suspicious when Yepis wasn’t able to unlock the laptop.

The buyer contacted the victim, verified the laptop was stolen and gave authorities Yepis’ contact information.

Undercover detectives set up a meeting to buy the laptop and arrested Yepis.
