NEW ORLEANS (AP) - U.S. Rep. Steve Scalise’s office says the House will mark the approaching 10th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina before members head home for an August break.

The Republican from Jefferson plans to lead a series of “special order” speeches Wednesday at 5 p.m. CDT.

Representatives from Louisiana and other Gulf Coast states are expected to gather on the floor to deliver commemorative remarks.
