SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - A Spokane criminal accused of attempting to rob a Chinese restaurant is now facing his 30th felony charge.

KXLY-TV reports (https://is.gd/0jA9wG ) that 11 months after his release from jail for assaulting a police dog, Cephas Parham was taken into custody Monday after he was seen fleeing the Peking North restaurant.

Police say as Parham ran from the restaurant, he pulled a realistic looking replica pistol on the officer chasing him. The officer fired but missed. Once he dropped the replica weapon, the officer fired a Taser at Parham and took him into custody.

On Tuesday, Parham appeared in court as the judge read his long criminal history that includes 29 felony convictions since 1990.

Parham is expected back in court Aug. 11.
