PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) - A Pueblo woman is facing a possible prison sentence related to the death of her 2-year-old foster daughter.

The Pueblo Chieftain reports (https://bit.ly/1I1pgvw) Sarah Finn pleaded guilty Tuesday and her husband Paul Finn will be sentenced Wednesday on charges of child abuse resulting in death.

Prosecutors say the couple waited too long to seek medical treatment for Chassie Pietrolongo after the child fell at least twice over the course of three days. She died in late August, less than a week after she fell down stairs and was brought to a hospital.

Defense attorneys argued that Sarah Finn called emergency responders immediately after the third fall, and that the couple had been texting about the girl’s condition.
