LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say two people are seriously injured after a pickup truck slammed into a bus in northeast Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas Sun reported ( ) that the crash happened around 12:50 p.m. on Friday on Las Vegas Boulevard, just north of Lamb Boulevard.

Police say a Chevy Malibu collided with a Nissan Frontier, forcing the Frontier to collide with the rear of the public bus. The bus had been parked at a bus stop.

Authorities said two occupants in the Frontier were transported to University Medical Center’s trauma unit with serious injuries. Some passengers on the bus, which was carrying 12 people, were treated for minor injuries.

Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
