NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Clint Dempsey and Jozy Altidore are back in the U.S. starting lineup, among five players U.S. coach Jurgen Klinsmann changed for Friday’s exhibition against Guatemala ahead of the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Dempsey and Altidore missed exhibition wins at the Netherlands and Germany last month. Dempsey stayed home to attend the birth of his fourth child, and Altidore was sidelined by a hamstring injury.

Defender Omar Gonzalez and midfielders DeAndre Yedlin and Graham Zusi also joined the starting lineup.

Brad Guzan remained in goal, with Timmy Chandler at right back, John Brooks and Gonzalez in central defense, and Fabian Johnson at left back.

Mix Diskerud was at the back of a midfield diamond, with Yedlin on the left and Zusi on the right in his first appearance for the U.S. since October. Michael Bradley, who replaced Dempsey as captain, was atop the diamond in his 99th international appearance, and Dempsey and Altidore were up front.
