MANDAN, N.D. (AP) - A dedication ceremony is planned at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery for a memorial to prisoners of war and soldiers missing in action.
The ceremony begins Friday at 11 a.m. at the cemetery south of Mandan.
The North Dakota POW-MIA Memorial honors North Dakotans who were either prisoners of war or missing in action since World War I. There are 461 names on the wall.
The Vietnam Vets/Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club and the Second Brigade Motorcycle Club designed the memorial and raised the funds from private donors to build it.
