TUMWATER, Wash. (AP) - A two-car crash on Interstate 5 left one person dead near Tumwater and then several others were injured in a second crash near the first site.
KOMO-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1ChEo8M ) the first crash happened just before 6 a.m. on Saturday when two cars collided. Washington State Patrol Trooper Guy Gill says one person was killed. He says it’s being investigated as a vehicular homicide.
As troopers were wrapping up their investigation, as second four-car crash occurred nearby.
Gill says there were multiple injuries. A child was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Their conditions were not known.
That crash forced the closure of all northbound lanes of I-5. Gill says they expect they’ll remain closed through midday Saturday.
