HOUSTON (AP) - A fire at a chemical plant lit up the night sky near Houston and led to a shelter-in-place order for nearby residents.

No injuries were reported in the fire Saturday at the Flowchem facility, which produces chemicals used to refine oil and other liquids.

The Houston Chronicle reports ( ) that 12 fire departments responded before the fire was eventually contained.

The Harris County Fire Marshal is investigating what started the blaze.
