1. SUSPECT SAYS SAN FRANCISCO PIER SHOOTING AN ACCIDENT

A man arrested in the seemingly random fatal shooting of a woman at a San Francisco pier admitted in a jailhouse interview that he shot her, but said it was an accident.

2. ‘TERMINATOR GENISYS,’ ‘MAGIC MIKE’ FIZZLE AT JULY 4th BOX OFFICE

July 4th went off like a dud at the box office. Anticipated new releases “Magic Mike XXL” and “Terminator Genisys” fizzled, leaving the popular holdovers “Jurassic World” and “Inside Out” to top the holiday weekend.



3. WOMAN TARGETED WITH SHOTGUN IN HOLLYWOOD KILLING

Los Angeles police say a woman walking with her boyfriend in Hollywood was shot and killed by a man who opened fire with a shotgun.

4. WILDFIRE DANGER COULD LINGER LONGER THAN FLAMES

U.S. Forest Service officials say those living in areas around a 49-square-mile wildfire will be at risk for flooding and debris flows long after the flames are extinguished.

5. SKY DIVER HURT IN HELICOPTER JUMP

A veteran sky diver is recovering from injuries after jumping from a helicopter at a Northern California Fourth of July celebration.
