CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) - A 42-year-old Iowa Falls woman has been given 21 months in prison for embezzling from a bank where she’d worked.

Teresa Kobriger pleaded guilty in April in U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids. She was sentenced last week.

Prosecutors say she stole the money while working for Iowa Falls State Bank from about December 2008 through December 2012. Court documents say Kobriger took cash from teller drawers and the bank vault and fraudulently altered bank records to cover up the thefts.

Kobriger was ordered to pay restitution of more than $181,000.
