LAKEWOOD, Calif. (AP) - Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies have killed a man they say drove into two patrol cars and injured a deputy.

He died Monday morning in Lakewood. His name hasn’t been released.

Authorities say deputies answered a report that a man was acting erratically.

When they arrived, they found a man sitting in a parked car.

Deputies say the man drove into a patrol car and fought with deputies who used pepper spray and a stun gun but failed to subdue him.

Authorities say the man was shot after he reversed the car, hit another patrol vehicle, and caught a deputy between two cars before he was shot.

The deputy was treated for cuts and bruises.

On Friday, deputies in Lancaster killed a man they say pulled an assault pistol.
