TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Police say a body found in the Black Warrior River has been identified as a missing Tuscaloosa County man.

Assistant commander of the Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit Sgt. Kip Hart says a golfer spotted the body in the water Sunday evening near the Country Club of Tuscaloosa.

Police on Monday identified the man as 24-year-old Beau Miles, who had been reported missing June 29. Police say it’s unclear how long Miles’s body had been submerged.

Details on the man’s cause of death weren’t immediately available.
