MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - Three people face misdemeanor charges stemming from a fireworks explosion that injured two men in Monongalia County.

The Dominion Post (https://bit.ly/1TiIdi8 ) reports that West Virginia State Police charged 61-year-old George Panson of Goodwin Hill Road in Monongalia County, 35-year-old Paul Panson of Morgantown and 36-year-old Eric Mogyoros of Morgantown with unlawful use of fireworks.

State police Sgt. M.A. Kief says the investigating officer’s report indicates that a mortar-style firework placed in a metal pipe exploded after the fuse was lit.

The incident occurred around 10 p.m. Saturday at a Goodwin Hill Road residence.

State police say Lucas Davis of Morgantown and Donnie Kuykendall of Lake Lynn, Pennsylvania, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
