FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - A 59-year-old man who was struck by a dump truck while riding his bike has died.

The Coloradoan reports (https://noconow.co/1HcvkRn ) that Steve Studt died Sunday at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland. He was taken there after he was struck by a Freightliner dump truck June 26.

The truck was traveling in the same direction and attempted to pass Studt on a two-lane road by moving into the eastbound lane, but oncoming vehicles caused the driver to move back into the westbound lane. The driver then collided with Studt, who was thrown beneath the truck’s rear tires.

Colorado State Patrol spokesman Sgt. Rob Madden says charges will likely be filed against the driver in the next few days.
