Last event: Na Yeon Choi won the NW Arkansas Championship on June 28 for her second victory of the year. She holed out from 142 yards for eagle on the par-4 16th and hit to a foot for a birdie on the par-3 17th, using an 8-iron on both shots.

Notes: The event is the third of the five majors. Brittany Lincicome won the ANA Inspiration in April in California, and Inbee Park took the Women’s PGA Championship last month in New York for her sixth major title. The top-ranked Park has won five of the last 12 majors, including the 2013 event at Sebonack in New York. She also won in 2008 at Interlachen in Minnesota. The South Korean player has a tour-high three victories this year. … If tied after 72 holes, there will be a three-hole aggregate playoff. … The 2016 event will be at CordeValle in San Martin, California. … The Marathon Classic is next week in Sylvania, Ohio.
