SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (AP) - The Southfield fire department says a 23-year-old woman has died from smoke inhalation in a fire that also claimed the life of her 10-year-old brother.

The fire broke out June 30 at an apartment in the northern Detroit suburb and killed 10-year-old Nathaniel Mosby.

The Daily Tribune of Royal Oak and WXYZ-TV reported Tuesday that emergency crews took his sister to the University of Toledo Hospital, where she remained on a ventilator until her death.

Authorities haven’t released her name.
