DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Another day of jury selection is scheduled Tuesday in the murder trial of a man accused of fatally stabbing another man in Clive.

The Des Moines Register reports (https://dmreg.co/1HJQE42 ) that attorneys on Monday began picking jurors who will determine the legal fate of Stephen Jonas. He’s accused of killing 21-year-old Zachary Paulsen, whose body was found Aug. 23 on a lot behind Dean Paulsen & Sons Contactors in Clive.

Clive Police Chief Michael Venema has said Jonas told authorities that he had a physical altercation with Paulsen. Court documents say that a week before the slaying, Paulsen rejected a sexual advance from Jonas. Jonas’ attorney has said Jonas killed Paulsen in self-defense after Paulsen struck Jonas with a hammer.
