HOOKSETT, N.H. (AP) - Police in Hooksett say a man in a motorized wheelchair traveling on Route 3A was struck by a pickup truck and killed.

WMUR-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1JLjcKT) that police said 61-year-old Earl Carter was riding north with the flow of traffic toward the Hooksett rest area on Monday when the pickup veered toward him. Carter was taken to a hospital where he died.

Police said the driver is 45-year-old David Hawes of East Andover.

Police are investigating. No charges have been filed.
