CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A migratory game bird biologist has retired after 23 years with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department.

Larry Roberts has been responsible for handling major waterfowl surveys in Wyoming and has represented the state on several national migratory bird committees.

Roberts graduated from Colorado State University and started with the game department in 1992 as biologist. He later was promoted through the ranks to become statewide migratory game bird biologist.

Roberts has served as Game and Fish’s representative on the Central Flyway Waterfowl Technical Committee and other groups.

Chief game warden Brian Nesvik says Roberts’ service on the Central Flyway Council for over 20 years has ensured that Wyoming was represented well and that its interests were considered in all decisions.
