GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - A Parachute couple arrested in Minnesota will be transported back to Colorado to face charges in their infant’s death.

The Post Independent reports (https://bit.ly/1H7qHF3 ) 29-year-old Matthew Ogden and 41-year-old Phyllis Wyatt waived requests for extradition from Cass County, Minnesota on Monday, paving the way for their return to Colorado.

The couple’s 4-week-old daughter died June 20 after suffering bruising to her liver and a blunt force impact to the forehead that fractured her skull and caused hemorrhaging in her brain. The infant’s twin brother was taken into protective custody.

The couple fled to Minnesota before warrants had been issued and were arrested June 30.

Sgt. Jeff Hoffmeister says it could take one to two weeks before the couple arrives at the Garfield County Jail.
